Dr. Mary A. Merlo-Murison has been practicing dentistry since earning her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Loyola University School of Dentistry in 1988. For 25 years, she had the privilege of working alongside her father, Dr. James Merlo, who established the practice on Michigan Avenue in the late 1960s.
Dr. Merlo-Murison's focus is to provide her patients the highest level of dental care. An essential component of that is to help patients achieve their best smiles. She not only helps patients maintain optimal dental health, but she also listens to their concerns. Understanding her patient's needs allows Dr. Merlo-Murison to provide the best individualized treatment plan for each patient.
Modern dentistry is continually changing and evolving. Dr. Merlo-Murison is a strong believer in remaining current in the field by refining her skills and keeping current on the latest techniques and technology. She undergoes extensive hours of training and Continuing Education courses. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society, Illinois State Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, and ITI Study Club for Implants.
Dr. Merlo-Murison earned her undergraduate degree from Lake Forest College in 1984. She and her husband, Larry, reside in the western suburbs. They have three children: Megan, Larry, and Natalie.
